Miguel+Gabriel Roaring 20's Wedding

I love them and this post has been a long time coming, these are the first things that must be said. I met Miguel and Gabriel for a photoshoot in Barcelona a few years back while they weren't even engaged and they won my heart so the minute they told me they were getting married and wanted me to shoot their wedding my heart skipped a beat and all I could say was "hell YES"!!

The wedding was a 3 day event at Liguerre de Cinca, in Huesca, at a stunning resort where all the guests could spend both nights and get ready together for what would be the party of the year (if not the century)! As the theme was "Roaring 20's" the guests flew in from all over the globe (Miguel and Gabriel like to travel and make friends everywhere), dressed up and partied the weekend away - me included! Also, this was the wedding where I broke my toe right after the ceremony and kept through shooting until the end of the party, but that's a whole other story!;)

Check out this wonderfulness and get your heart filled with love and joy over these two wonderful human beings that i have the pleasure of calling friends! <3 And at the exact time of this post: happy 2 year anniversary dears!:D

Sara+Julio unicorns in Central Park

You know when there is a lot you wanted to say but you can't find enough words or space? I was surprised with this super original couples shoot by Sara and Julio. We set to meet at Central Park, one of the most iconic places of NYC, and suddenly they appear with the coolest props i've ever seen: two unicorn heads! And they rocked them like they were made for this! Now NYC for me will never be the same!

Liz and Jason are New Yorkers and they absolutely love their city. Their wedding was small and gorgeous, and we knew we had to take some pictures around town to honor their love for NYC's craziness and identity. We started at the staple place in Grand Central Station but quickly went out to Dumbo, the Pepsi Cola sign they both love, the history filled brick walls and fires escape stairs of my New York dreams, ending with their home rooftop overlooking the live bustling around the city that never sleeps!

I never thought I'd get to be the single witness to such an important event. When Julia and Tiago told me they were eloping I thought they'd have a few other people present, but ended up being the super proud witness as well as photographer of this emotional and incredibly important day for the both of them. This is certainly something I'll never forget, and despite the emotional tears behind the camera, the images are beautiful!

Tiago is a photographer, this is the first thing that needs to be said. Julia is a researcher that went to San Francisco to study and Tiago went with her, as they didn't want to be apart. And there they decided they loved each other so much they didn't want to spend any more time not being husband and wife, so despite being far away from their families in Germany and Portugal they planned to elope. Luckily for me, we had the opportunity to have some pre-wedding photos taken the day before their elopement and Tiago thought of all the best places: San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts, the vintage arcade shop and the fair by the pier. And it was amazing!

Anna Mathilda and Yolanda are incredible. There is no other way to put this. They are young, beautiful, in love, and have a crazy awesome sense of style -
who wouldn't want to take their pictures? I had the awesome chance of roaming around Camden Town with them and finding incredible colorful spots and
beautiful brick walls that frame them like they were made to be there. And one thing is certain: they are made for each other! And I can't wait to see them again!

Sara is a German girl whose family comes from Portugal, and Daniel is a Romanian boy whose family moved to Portugal when he was young. they met in Germany, where they live, and decided to get married in Portugal as it was the place both their families had in common. And so it was: taking place in the center of Portugal: the beautiful city of Aveiro, they started their happily ever after surrounded by family and friends, dancing the night away!

This was the most fun I've ever had at a supermarket! Alexandra and Justin met while working right on these rows, restocking and making inventory, and that's why this was the chosen place to take a few photos of their newlyweds bliss! After that, we went to Morden beach, where Justin proposed to Alex, and they re-did their first dance with sand on their feet and a very excited photographer singing along!

As Trish knew I was going to Manitoba to shoot a wedding, she asked me if I'd make a few photos of her and Terry, married for a few years and still very much in love! We chose the cityscape of Winnipeg, MB's capital, as the setting for our adventure and off we went, charging around every corner and finishing off with my first ever poutine - and I'm addicted now!

This was one of those days I'm so so grateful for having an amazing team to fall back on: I wasn't able to attend Nicola and Chris's wedding for a few reasons, and so this post is also a THANK YOU to my awesome second and partner in crime Tiago Cabrita, who jumped in to help and flew all the way to Ireland to capture the most magical moments of this beautiful day. As you can see, us photographers do have our mishaps too from time to time and this was one of those moments where having a team and a backup plan is crucial and makes it all worth it!

I will try to be brief, though it is going to be hard: Alex and Justin are two of my favorite people ever. They are beautiful, fun and very very kind. I flew to Canada to shoot every photographers dream: a viking inspired wedding! Due to unforeseen circumstances, during the final planning they had to move the wedding to Alex's parents backyard, and to this day I don't know why it was ever supposed to be somewhere else! All the friends and family got the decorations and settings in place, and it was one of the most inspiring things to witness, ever. But I said I would be brief so I'll try not to dwell on the brilliant time I spent with their family and how I feel they were always made for each other, and just let you look at the images below!

Isa was born and grew up in Madeira, and thus despite having met and living on the countries' continent, they decided to get married at the island of eternal spring. Me, I grew up with Isa and never have I thought we'd one day both be adults and I'd be the one capturing her most beautiful day - but we are, and I did. And it was stunning: not only because she and him are beautiful (which they are) and because the island of Madeira sets a brilliant stage (which it does) but because they truly are made for each other and every one of their guests was truly so happy with this wedding that it couldn't have been a less than perfect day for any of us!

When you see these images you'll think I hired models and did a styled shoot instead of a wedding! Yes, they are absolutely gorgeous and yes they make the perfect couple, and they are real!;) Stephanie and Paul are Canadians who decided on the beautiful city of Coimbra to say their most important "I do". To honor Stephanies' portuguese origins, they chose a Luxury Boutique Hotel the historic heart of Portugal and had an intimate ceremony by the entrance to the garden of "Pedro and Inês" (a real love story you should take a read at), at Quinta das Lágrimas.

In fact, it isn't easy to relax and kiss, cuddle and laugh like no one is watching when having a photographer there, so this is an essential part of the process that will make all of us do some magic at your wedding... and then you have those couples like Joana and Pedro, that love each other so unconditionally that no camera pointing at their kissing will ever makes them feel less comfortable - for these two, magic was made the day they met. There comes a time in every photographer's career where we feel like we reached the most brilliant event of our lives: if so, this was certainly one moment life those for me! Sacha and Tim flew from America to Côte d'Azur to have the most luxurious destination wedding I've ever seen. It was in a stunning location, with an incredible gown, and all around us were only beautiful people. As Sacha's family is lebanese, the dancing began early in the afternoon and went on through more than 8 hours all around the castle and into the night - it was surreal! I have always loved the rock'n'roll alternative bride style and so when the opportunity came to have a small editorial shoot with this theme I didn't hesitate to participate on it. The brides supposed to model for us, in a very rock'n'roll style, didn't show up and I got my very beautiful and talented friend Mary to model for us, as a last minute kind of deal. And she was nothing short of perfect for the part! <3
